App.].</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idd8d99b87-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> Chief Financial Officer</heading><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="idd8d99b88-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/c/1"><num value="1" class="bold">(1)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">There shall be in the Corporation a Chief Financial Officer, who shall be appointed by the Chief Executive Officer pursuant to subsections (a) and (b) of <ref href="/us/usc/t42/s12651f">section 12651f of this title</ref>.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="idd8d99b89-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/c/2"><num value="2" class="bold">(2)</num><heading class="bold"> Duties</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The Chief Financial Officer shall—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d99b8a-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/c/2/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> report directly to the Chief Executive Officer regarding financial management matters;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d99b8b-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/c/2/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> oversee all financial management activities relating to the programs and operations of the Corporation;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d99b8c-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/c/2/C"><num value="C">(C)</num><content> develop and maintain an integrated accounting and financial management system for the Corporation, including financial reporting and internal controls;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d99b8d-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/c/2/D"><num value="D">(D)</num><content> develop and maintain any joint financial management systems with the Department of Education necessary to carry out the programs of the Corporation; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d99b8e-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/c/2/E"><num value="E">(E)</num><content> direct, manage, and provide policy guidance and oversight of the financial management personnel, activities, and operations of the Corporation.</content>

</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idd8d99b8f-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/d"><num value="d" class="bold">(d)</num><heading class="bold"> Assistant Directors for VISTA and National Senior Service Corps</heading><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="idd8d99b90-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/d/1"><num value="1" class="bold">(1)</num><heading class="bold"> Appointment</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">One of the Managing Directors appointed under subsection (a) shall, in accordance with applicable provisions of title 5, appoint 4 Assistant Directors who shall report directly to such Managing Director, of which—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d99b91-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/d/1/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> 1 Assistant Director shall be responsible for programs carried out under parts A [<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s4951">42 U.S.C. 4951</ref> et seq.] and B <ref class="footnoteRef" idref="fn004004">1</ref><note type="footnote" id="fn004004"><num>1</num> See References in Text note below.</note> of title I of the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973 (the Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) program) and other antipoverty programs under title I of that Act [<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s4951">42 U.S.C. 4951</ref> et seq.];</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d99b92-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/d/1/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> 1 Assistant Director shall be responsible for programs carried out under part A of title II of that Act [<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s5001">42 U.S.C. 5001</ref> et seq.] (relating to the Retired Senior Volunteer Program);</content>

<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d99b93-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/d/1/C"><num value="C">(C)</num><content> 1 Assistant Director shall be responsible for programs carried out under part B of title II of that Act [<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s5011">42 U.S.C. 5011</ref> et seq.] (relating to the Foster Grandparent Program); and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d99b94-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12651e/d/1/D"><num value="D">(D)</num><content> 1 Assistant Director shall be responsible for programs carried out under part C of title II of that Act [<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s5013">42 U.S.C. 5013</ref>] (relating to the Senior Companion Program).</content>
