<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="idd8f3daba-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s13214"><num value="13214">§ 13214.</num><heading> Federal agency promotion, education, and coordination</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idd8f3dabb-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s13214/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Promotion and education</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Secretary, in cooperation with the Administrator of General Services, shall promote programs and educate officials and employees of Federal agencies on the merits of alternative fueled vehicles. The Secretary, in cooperation with the Administrator of General Services, shall provide and disseminate information to Federal agencies on—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8f3dabc-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s13214/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> the location of refueling and maintenance facilities available to alternative fueled vehicles in the Federal fleet;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8f3dabd-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s13214/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> the range and performance capabilities of alternative fueled vehicles;</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8f3dabe-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s13214/a/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> State and local government and commercial alternative fueled vehicle programs;</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8f3dabf-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s13214/a/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> Federal alternative fueled vehicle purchases and placements;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8f3dac0-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s13214/a/5"><num value="5">(5)</num><content> the operation and maintenance of alternative fueled vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer’s standards and recommendations; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8f3dac1-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s13214/a/6"><num value="6">(6)</num><content> incentive programs established pursuant to sections 13215 <ref class="footnoteRef" idref="fn004077">1</ref><note type="footnote" id="fn004077"><num>1</num> See References in Text note below.</note> and 13216 of this title.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idd8f3dac2-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s13214/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Assistance in procurement and placement</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Secretary, in cooperation with the Administrator of General Services, shall provide guidance, coordination and technical assistance to Federal agencies in the procurement and geographic location of alternative fueled vehicles purchased through the Administrator of General Services. The procurement and geographic location of such vehicles shall comply with the purchase requirements under <ref href="/us/usc/t42/s13212">section 13212 of this title</ref>.</p>
