<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="idad6f6c3a-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095"><num value="15095">§ 15095.</num><heading> Designation of the lead entity</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idad6f6c3b-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Designation</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Chief Executive Officer of a State that desires to receive a grant under <ref href="/us/usc/t42/s15093">section 15093 of this title</ref>, shall designate the office or entity (referred to in this subchapter as the “lead entity”) responsible for—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c3c-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> submitting the application described in <ref href="/us/usc/t42/s15094">section 15094 of this title</ref> on behalf of the State;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c3d-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> administering and supervising the use of the amounts made available under the grant;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c3e-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/a/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> coordinating efforts related to and supervising the preparation of the application;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c3f-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/a/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> coordinating the planning, development, implementation (or expansion and enhancement), and evaluation of a statewide system of family support services for families of children with disabilities among public agencies and between public agencies and private agencies, including coordinating efforts related to entering into interagency agreements;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c40-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/a/5"><num value="5">(5)</num><content> coordinating efforts related to the participation by families of children with disabilities in activities carried out under a grant made under this subchapter; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c41-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/a/6"><num value="6">(6)</num><content> submitting the report described in <ref href="/us/usc/t42/s15097">section 15097 of this title</ref> on behalf of the State.</content>

</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idad6f6c42-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Qualifications</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">In designating the lead entity, the Chief Executive Officer may designate—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c43-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> an office of the Chief Executive Officer;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c44-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/b/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> a commission appointed by the Chief Executive Officer;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c45-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/b/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> a public agency;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c46-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/b/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> a council established under Federal or State law; or</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idad6f6c47-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15095/b/5"><num value="5">(5)</num><content> another appropriate office, agency, or entity.</content>
