<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">In this chapter:</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id2e54e9b1-4e00-11e3-bfbc-9f3100a4b203" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s15204/1"><num value="1" class="bold">(1)</num><heading class="bold"> Public safety officer</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The term “public safety officer” means a person serving a public agency, with or without compensation, as a firefighter, law enforcement officer, or emergency services officer, as determined by the Attorney General. For the purposes of this paragraph, the term “law enforcement officer” includes a person who is a corrections or court officer or a civil defense officer.</p>
