The Division of Military Application shall be under the direction of an Assistant General Manager for Military Application, who shall be appointed by the Commission and shall be an active commissioned officer of the Armed Forces serving in general or flag officer rank or grade, as appropriate. Each other program division shall be under the direction of a Director who shall be appointed by the Commission. The Commission shall require each such division to exercise such of the Commission’s administrative and executive powers as the Commission may determine;</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id8ce016ca-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s2035/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> General Counsel</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">an Office of the General Counsel under the direction of the General Counsel who shall be appointed by the Commission; and</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id8ce016cb-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s2035/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Inspection Division; duties</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">an Inspection Division under the direction of a Director who shall be appointed by the Commission. The Inspection Division shall be responsible for gathering information to show whether or not the contractors, licensees, and officers and employees of the Commission are complying with the provisions of this chapter (except those provisions for which the Federal Bureau of Investigation is responsible) and the appropriate rules and regulations of the Commission.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id8ce016cc-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s2035/d\"><num value=\"d\" class=\"bold\">(d)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Executive management positions; appointment; removal</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">such other executive management positions (not to exceed six in number) as the Commission may determine to be necessary to the discharge of its responsibilities. Such positions shall be established by the General Manager with the approval of the Commission. Energy Research and Development Administration terminated pursuant to sections 7151(a) and 7293 of this title.</p>\n<p style=\"-uslm-lc:I21\" class=\"indent0\">Atomic Energy Commission abolished and functions transferred by sections 5814 and 5841 of this title.
