<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id8ce67f23-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s2122"><num value="2122">§ 2122.</num><heading> Prohibitions governing atomic weapons</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id8ce67f24-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s2122/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><content> It shall be unlawful, except as provided in <ref href="/us/usc/t42/s2121">section 2121 of this title</ref>, for any person, inside or outside of the United States, to knowingly participate in the development of, manufacture, produce, transfer, acquire, receive, possess, import, export, or use, or possess and threaten to use, any atomic weapon. Nothing in this section shall be deemed to modify the provisions of section 2051(a) or 2131 of this title.</content>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id8ce67f25-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s2122/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><chapeau> Conduct prohibited by subsection (a) is within the jurisdiction of the United States if—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id8ce67f26-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s2122/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> the offense occurs in or affects interstate or foreign commerce; the offense occurs outside of the United States and is committed by a national of the United States;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id8ce67f27-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s2122/b/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> the offense is committed against a national of the United States while the national is outside the United States;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id8ce67f28-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s2122/b/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> the offense is committed against any property that is owned, leased, or used by the United States or by any department or agency of the United States, whether the property is within or outside the United States; or</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id8ce67f29-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s2122/b/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> an offender aids or abets any person over whom jurisdiction exists under this subsection in committing an offense under this section or conspires with any person over whom jurisdiction exists under this subsection to commit an offense under this section.</content>
