The Secretary may accept applications from for-profit private entities as determined appropriate by the Secretary.</p>\n</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"ida4f32e78-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s293e/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Collaboration</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">In carrying out subsection (a), the Secretary shall collaborate with health professional societies, licensing and accreditation entities, health professions schools, and experts in minority health and cultural competency, prevention, and public health and disability groups, community-based organizations, and other organizations as determined appropriate by the Secretary. The Secretary shall coordinate with curricula and research and demonstration projects developed under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s296e–1\">section 296e–1 of this title</ref>.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"ida4f32e79-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s293e/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Dissemination</heading><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"ida4f32e7a-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s293e/c/1\"><num value=\"1\" class=\"bold\">(1)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> In general</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">Model curricula developed under this section shall be disseminated through the Internet Clearinghouse under section 270 <ref class=\"footnoteRef\" idref=\"fn002247\">1</ref><note type=\"footnote\" id=\"fn002247\"><num>1</num> So in original. L. 106–525, title IV, § 402</ref>, <date date=\"2000-11-22\">Nov. 22, 2000</date>, <ref href=\"/us/stat/114/2509\">114 Stat. 2509</ref>, provided that:<quotedContent origin=\"/us/pl/106/525/tIV/s402\">\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I21\" class=\"indent0\"><num value=\"a\">“(a)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act [<date date=\"2000-11-22\">Nov. 22, 2000</date>], the Secretary of Health and Human Services (in this section referred to as the ‘Secretary’), acting through the Administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration, shall convene a national conference on health professions education as a method for reducing disparities in health outcomes.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I21\" class=\"indent0\"><num value=\"b\">“(b)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Participants</inline>.—</heading><content>The Secretary shall include in the national conference convened under subsection (a) advocacy groups and educational entities as described in section 741 of the Public Health Service Act [<ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s293e\">42 U.S.C. 293e</ref>] (as added by section 401), tribal health programs, health centers under section 330 of such Act [<ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s254b\">42 U.S.C. 254b</ref>], and other interested parties.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I21\" class=\"indent0\"><num value=\"c\">“(c)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Issues</inline>.—</heading><content>The national conference convened under subsection (a) shall include, but is not limited to, issues that address the role and impact of health professions education on the reduction of disparities in health outcomes, including the role of education on cultural competency.
