L. 89–793, title VI, § 605</ref>, <date date=\"1966-11-08\">Nov. 8, 1966</date>, <ref href=\"/us/stat/80/1450\">80 Stat. 1450</ref>, provided that: <quotedContent origin=\"/us/pl/89/793/tVI/s605\">“Title I of this Act [enacting chapter 175 (§ 2901 et seq.) of Title 28, Judiciary and Judicial Procedure] shall take effect three months after the date of its enactment [<date date=\"1966-11-08\">Nov. 8, 1966</date>], and shall apply to any case pending in a district court of the United States in which an appearance has not been made prior to such effective date. Titles II [enacting chapter 314 (§ 4251 et seq.) of Title 18, Crimes and Criminal Procedure] and V of this Act [amending <ref href=\"/us/usc/t26/s7237/d\">section 7237(d) of Title 26</ref>, Internal Revenue Code and enacting provisions set out as note under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t18/s4202\">section 4202 of Title 18</ref>] shall take effect three months after the date of its enactment [<date date=\"1966-11-08\">Nov. 8, 1966</date>] and shall apply to any case pending in any court of the United States in which sentence has not yet been imposed as of such effective date.
