The Deputy Assistant Secretary for Population Affairs shall be appointed by the Secretary.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id8d4df312-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s3505a/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><content> The Secretary is authorized to provide the Office of Population Affairs with such full-time professional and clerical staff and with the services of such consultants as may be necessary for it to carry out its duties and functions.</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id8d4df313-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/91/572/s3\">Pub.
