<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="idaae391ef-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s3546"><num value="3546">§ 3546.</num><heading> Use of domestic products</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idaae391f0-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s3546/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Prohibition against fraudulent use of “Made in America” labels</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">A person shall not intentionally affix a label bearing the inscription of “Made in America”, or any inscription with that meaning, to any product sold in or shipped to the United States, if that product is not a domestic product.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idaae3b901-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s3546/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Report</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and the Secretary of Agriculture shall each submit, before <date date="1994-01-01">January 1, 1994</date>, a report to the Congress on procurements of products that are not domestic products.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idaae3b902-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s3546/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> “Domestic product” defined</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">For the purposes of this section, the term “domestic product” means a product—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idaae3b903-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s3546/c/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> that is manufactured or produced in the United States; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idaae3b904-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s3546/c/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> at least 50 percent of the cost of the articles, materials, or supplies of which are mined, produced, or manufactured in the United States.</content>
