L. 98–581, § 2, Oct. 30, 1984, 98 Stat. 3093.)","seq_in_title":4089,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t42/ch56","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42","level":"title","num":"Title 42—","heading":"THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELFARE","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/ch56","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 56—","heading":"ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY IMPROVEMENT","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"idab31632a-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s4375\"><num value=\"4375\">§ 4375.</num><heading> Office of Environmental Quality Management Fund</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idab31632b-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s4375/a\"><num value=\"a\" class=\"bold\">(a)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Establishment; financing of study contracts and Federal interagency environmental projects</heading><chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">There is established an Office of Environmental Quality Management Fund (hereinafter referred to as the “Fund”) to receive advance payments from other agencies or accounts that may be used solely to finance—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idab31632c-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s4375/a/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> study contracts that are jointly sponsored by the Office and one or more other Federal agencies; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idab318a3d-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s4375/a/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> Federal interagency environmental projects (including task forces) in which the Office participates.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idab318a3e-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s4375/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Study contract or project initiative</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">Any study contract or project that is to be financed under subsection (a) may be initiated only with the approval of the Director.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idab318a3f-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s4375/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Regulations</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">The Director shall promulgate regulations setting forth policies and procedures for operation of the Fund.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"idab318a40-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/91/224/tII/s206\">Pub.
