Such action may be brought in an appropriate United States district court.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id8dbfc7cb-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s5157/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Referral to Attorney General</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">The President shall expeditiously refer to the Attorney General for appropriate action any evidence developed in the performance of functions under this chapter that may warrant consideration for criminal prosecution.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id8dbfc7cc-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s5157/d\"><num value=\"d\" class=\"bold\">(d)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Civil penalty</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">Any individual who knowingly violates any order or regulation issued under this chapter shall be subject to a civil penalty of not more than $5,000 for each violation.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id8dbfc7cd-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/93/288/tIII/s314\">Pub.
