L. 93–473, § 17, Oct. 26, 1974, 88 Stat. 1438.)","seq_in_title":4535,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t42/ch71/schII","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42","level":"title","num":"Title 42—","heading":"THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELFARE","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/ch71","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 71—","heading":"SOLAR ENERGY","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/ch71/schII","level":"subchapter","num":"SUBCHAPTER II—","heading":"RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, AND DEMONSTRATION","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id4516eb7e-3271-11e3-ab2f-8f7fedb88afd\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s5566\"><num value=\"5566\">§ 5566.</num><heading> Authorization of appropriations</heading>\n<chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">To carry out the provisions of this subchapter, there are authorized to be appropriated—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id4516eb7f-3271-11e3-ab2f-8f7fedb88afd\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s5566/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> for the fiscal year ending <date date=\"1976-06-30\">June 30, 1976</date>, $75,000,000;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id4516eb80-3271-11e3-ab2f-8f7fedb88afd\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s5566/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> for subsequent fiscal years, only such sums as the Congress hereafter may authorize by law;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id4516eb81-3271-11e3-ab2f-8f7fedb88afd\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s5566/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> such amounts as may be authorized for the construction of demonstrations pursuant to <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s5556/f\">section 5556(f) of this title</ref>; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id4516eb82-3271-11e3-ab2f-8f7fedb88afd\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s5566/4\"><num value=\"4\">(4)</num><content> to the National Science Foundation for the fiscal year ending <date date=\"1975-06-30\">June 30, 1975</date>, not to exceed $2,000,000 to be made available for use in the preparation of the comprehensive program definition under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s5564\">section 5564 of this title</ref>.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id4516eb83-3271-11e3-ab2f-8f7fedb88afd\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/93/473/s17\">Pub.
