value=\"6311\">§ 6311.</num><heading> Definitions</heading>\n<chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">For purposes of this part—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda4d6a-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><chapeau> The term “covered equipment” means one of the following types of industrial equipment:</chapeau><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d6b-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> Electric motors and pumps.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d6c-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> Small commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d6d-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/C\"><num value=\"C\">(C)</num><content> Large commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d6e-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/D\"><num value=\"D\">(D)</num><content> Very large commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d6f-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/E\"><num value=\"E\">(E)</num><content> Commercial refrigerators, freezers, and refrigerator-freezers.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d70-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/F\"><num value=\"F\">(F)</num><content> Automatic commercial ice makers.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d71-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/G\"><num value=\"G\">(G)</num><content> Walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d72-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/H\"><num value=\"H\">(H)</num><content> Commercial clothes washers.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d73-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/I\"><num value=\"I\">(I)</num><content> Packaged terminal air-conditioners and packaged terminal heat pumps.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d74-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/J\"><num value=\"J\">(J)</num><content> Warm air furnaces and packaged boilers.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d75-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/K\"><num value=\"K\">(K)</num><content> Storage water heaters, instantaneous water heaters, and unfired hot water storage tanks.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d76-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/1/L\"><num value=\"L\">(L)</num><content> Any other type of industrial equipment which the Secretary classifies as covered equipment under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s6312/b\">section 6312(b) of this title</ref>.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda4d77-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda4d78-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><chapeau> The term “industrial equipment” means any article of equipment referred to in subparagraph (B) of a type—</chapeau><clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d79-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/A/i\"><num value=\"i\">(i)</num><content> which in operation consumes, or is designed to consume, energy;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d7a-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/A/ii\"><num value=\"ii\">(ii)</num><content> which, to any significant extent, is distributed in commerce for industrial or commercial use; and</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d7b-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/A/iii\"><num value=\"iii\">(iii)</num><content> which is not a “covered product” as defined in <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s6291/a/2\">section 6291(a)(2) of this title</ref>, other than a component of a covered product with respect to which there is in effect a determination under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s6312/c\">section 6312(c) of this title</ref>;</content>\n</clause>\n\n<continuation style=\"-uslm-lc:I17\" class=\"indent1 firstIndent0\">without regard to whether such article is in fact distributed in commerce for industrial or commercial use.</continuation>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda4d7c-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><chapeau> The types of equipment referred to in this subparagraph (in addition to electric motors and pumps, commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment, commercial refrigerators, freezers, and refrigerator-freezers, automatic commercial ice makers, commercial clothes washers, packaged terminal air-conditioners, packaged terminal heat pumps, warm air furnaces, packaged boilers, storage water heaters, instantaneous water heaters, and unfired hot water storage tanks) are as follows:</chapeau><clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d7d-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/i\"><num value=\"i\">(i)</num><content> compressors;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d7e-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/ii\"><num value=\"ii\">(ii)</num><content> fans;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d7f-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/iii\"><num value=\"iii\">(iii)</num><content> blowers;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d80-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/iv\"><num value=\"iv\">(iv)</num><content> refrigeration equipment;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d81-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/v\"><num value=\"v\">(v)</num><content> electric lights and lighting power supply circuits;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d82-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/vi\"><num value=\"vi\">(vi)</num><content> electrolytic equipment;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d83-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/vii\"><num value=\"vii\">(vii)</num><content> electric arc equipment;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d84-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/viii\"><num value=\"viii\">(viii)</num><content> steam boilers;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d85-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/ix\"><num value=\"ix\">(ix)</num><content> ovens;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d86-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/x\"><num value=\"x\">(x)</num><content> kilns;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d87-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/xi\"><num value=\"xi\">(xi)</num><content> evaporators;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d88-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/xii\"><num value=\"xii\">(xii)</num><content> dryers; and</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda4d89-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/2/B/xiii\"><num value=\"xiii\">(xiii)</num><content> other motors.</content>\n</clause>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda4d8a-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> The term “energy efficiency” means the ratio of the useful output of services from an article of industrial equipment to the energy use by such article, determined in accordance with test procedures under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s6314\">section 6314 of this title</ref>.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda4d8b-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/4\"><num value=\"4\">(4)</num><content> The term “energy use” means the quantity of energy directly consumed by an article of industrial equipment at the point of use, determined in accordance with test procedures established under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s6314\">section 6314 of this title</ref>.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda4d8c-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/5\"><num value=\"5\">(5)</num><content> The term “manufacturer” means any person who manufactures industrial equipment.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda4d8d-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/6\"><num value=\"6\">(6)</num><content> The term “label” may include any printed matter determined appropriate by the Secretary.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda749e-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/7\"><num value=\"7\">(7)</num><content> The terms “energy”, “manufacture”, “import”, “importation”, “consumer product”, “distribute in commerce”, “distribution in commerce”, and “commerce” have the same meaning as is given such terms in <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s6291\">section 6291 of this title</ref>.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda749f-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/8\"><num value=\"8\">(8)</num><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74a0-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/8/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> The term “commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment” means air-cooled, water-cooled, evaporatively-cooled, or water source (not including ground water source) electrically operated, unitary central air conditioners and central air conditioning heat pumps for commercial application.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74a1-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/8/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> The term “small commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment” means commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment that is rated below 135,000 Btu per hour (cooling capacity).</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74a2-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/8/C\"><num value=\"C\">(C)</num><chapeau> The term “large commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment” means commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment that is rated—</chapeau><clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74a3-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/8/C/i\"><num value=\"i\">(i)</num><content> at or above 135,000 Btu per hour; and</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74a4-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/8/C/ii\"><num value=\"ii\">(ii)</num><content> below 240,000 Btu per hour (cooling capacity).</content>\n</clause>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74a5-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/8/D\"><num value=\"D\">(D)</num><chapeau> The term “very large commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment” means commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment that is rated—</chapeau><clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74a6-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/8/D/i\"><num value=\"i\">(i)</num><content> at or above 240,000 Btu per hour; and</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74a7-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/8/D/ii\"><num value=\"ii\">(ii)</num><content> below 760,000 Btu per hour (cooling capacity).</content>\n</clause>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74a8-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9\"><num value=\"9\">(9)</num><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74a9-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><chapeau> The term “commercial refrigerator, freezer, and refrigerator-freezer” means refrigeration equipment that—</chapeau><clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74aa-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/A/i\"><num value=\"i\">(i)</num><content> is not a consumer product (as defined in <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s6291\">section 6291 of this title</ref>);</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74ab-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/A/ii\"><num value=\"ii\">(ii)</num><content> is not designed and marketed exclusively for medical, scientific, or research purposes;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74ac-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/A/iii\"><num value=\"iii\">(iii)</num><content> operates at a chilled, frozen, combination chilled and frozen, or variable temperature;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74ad-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/A/iv\"><num value=\"iv\">(iv)</num><content> displays or stores merchandise and other perishable materials horizontally, semivertically, or vertically;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74ae-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/A/v\"><num value=\"v\">(v)</num><content> has transparent or solid doors, sliding or hinged doors, a combination of hinged, sliding, transparent, or solid doors, or no doors;</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74af-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/A/vi\"><num value=\"vi\">(vi)</num><content> is designed for pull-down temperature applications or holding temperature applications; and</content>\n</clause>\n<clause style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"idabda74b0-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/A/vii\"><num value=\"vii\">(vii)</num><content> is connected to a self-contained condensing unit or to a remote condensing unit.</content>\n</clause>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74b1-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> The term “holding temperature application” means a use of commercial refrigeration equipment other than a pull-down temperature application, except a blast chiller or freezer.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74b2-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/C\"><num value=\"C\">(C)</num><content> The term “integrated average temperature” means the average temperature of all test package measurements taken during the test.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74b3-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/D\"><num value=\"D\">(D)</num><content> The term “pull-down temperature application” means a commercial refrigerator with doors that, when fully loaded with 12 ounce beverage cans at 90 degrees F, can cool those beverages to an average stable temperature of 38 degrees F in 12 hours or less.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74b4-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/E\"><num value=\"E\">(E)</num><content> The term “remote condensing unit” means a factory-made assembly of refrigerating components designed to compress and liquefy a specific refrigerant that is remotely located from the refrigerated equipment and consists of one or more refrigerant compressors, refrigerant condensers, condenser fans and motors, and factory supplied accessories.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74b5-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/9/F\"><num value=\"F\">(F)</num><content> The term “self-contained condensing unit” means a factory-made assembly of refrigerating components designed to compress and liquefy a specific refrigerant that is an integral part of the refrigerated equipment and consists of one or more refrigerant compressors, refrigerant condensers, condenser fans and motors, and factory supplied The term “packaged terminal air conditioner” means a wall sleeve and a separate unencased combination of heating and cooling assemblies specified by the builder and intended for mounting through the wall. It includes a prime source of refrigeration, separable outdoor louvers, forced ventilation, and heating availability by builder’s choice of hot water, steam, or electricity.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda74b8-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/10/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> The term “packaged terminal heat pump” means a packaged terminal air conditioner that utilizes reverse cycle refrigeration as its prime heat source and should have supplementary heat source available to builders with the choice of hot water, steam, or electric resistant heat.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda9bc9-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/11\"><num value=\"11\">(11)</num><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda9bca-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/11/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> The term “warm air furnace” means a self-contained oil- or gas-fired furnace designed to supply heated air through ducts to spaces that require it and includes combination warm air furnace/electric air conditioning units but does not include unit heaters and duct furnaces.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda9bcb-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/11/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> The term “packaged boiler” means a boiler that is shipped complete with heating equipment, mechanical draft equipment, and automatic controls; usually shipped in one or more sections.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda9bcc-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/12\"><num value=\"12\">(12)</num><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idabda9bcd-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6311/12/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> The term “storage water heater” means a water heater that heats and stores water within the appliance at a thermostatically controlled temperature for delivery on demand.
