<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id89d6f4cf-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a"><num value="679a">§ 679a.</num><heading> National Adoption Information Clearinghouse</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Secretary of Health and Human Services shall establish, either directly or by grant or contract, a National Adoption Information Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse shall—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id89d6f4d0-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> collect, compile, and maintain information obtained from available research, studies, and reports by public and private agencies, institutions, or individuals concerning all aspects of infant adoption and adoption of children with special needs;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id89d6f4d1-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><chapeau> compile, maintain, and periodically revise directories of information concerning—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id89d6f4d2-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/2/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> crisis pregnancy centers,</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id89d6f4d3-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/2/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> shelters and residences for pregnant women,</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id89d6f4d4-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/2/C"><num value="C">(C)</num><content> training programs on adoption,</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id89d6f4d5-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/2/D"><num value="D">(D)</num><content> educational programs on adoption,</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id89d6f4d6-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/2/E"><num value="E">(E)</num><content> licensed adoption agencies,</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id89d6f4d7-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/2/F"><num value="F">(F)</num><content> State laws relating to adoption,</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id89d6f4d8-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/2/G"><num value="G">(G)</num><content> intercountry adoption, and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id89d6f4d9-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/2/H"><num value="H">(H)</num><content> any other information relating to adoption for pregnant women, infertile couples, adoptive parents, unmarried individuals who want to adopt children, individuals who have been adopted, birth parents who have placed a child for adoption, adoption agencies, social workers, counselors, or other individuals who work in the adoption field;</content>
</subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id89d6f4da-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> disseminate the information compiled and maintained pursuant to paragraph (1) and the directories compiled and maintained pursuant to paragraph (2); and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id89d6f4db-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s679a/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> upon the establishment of an adoption and foster care data collection system pursuant to <ref href="/us/usc/t42/s679">section 679 of this title</ref>, disseminate the data and information made available through that system.</content>
