<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="idabfb1bf0-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s6892"><num value="6892">§ 6892.</num><heading> Annual report to Congress by Comptroller General</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idabfb1bf1-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s6892/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Requirements; access to information</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">For each fiscal year ending before <date date="1979-10-01">October 1, 1979</date>, the Comptroller General shall report to the Congress on the activities of the Secretary of Energy and the Secretary under this subchapter and any amendments to other statutes made by this subchapter. The provisions of <ref href="/us/usc/t15/s771">section 771 of title 15</ref> (relating to access by the Comptroller General to books, documents, papers, statistics, data, records, and information in the possession of the Secretary of Energy or of recipients of Federal funds) shall apply to data which relate to such activities.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idabfb1bf2-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s6892/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Contents of report</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Each report submitted by the Comptroller General under subsection (a) shall include—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idabfb1bf3-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s6892/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> an accounting, by State, of expenditures of Federal funds under each program authorized by this subchapter or by amendments made by this subchapter;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idabfb1bf4-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s6892/b/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> an estimate of the energy savings which have resulted thereby;</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idabfb1bf5-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s6892/b/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> a thorough evaluation of the effectiveness of the programs authorized by this subchapter or by amendments made by this subchapter in achieving the energy conservation or renewable resource potential available in the sectors and regions affected by such programs;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idabfb1bf6-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s6892/b/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> a review of the extent and effectiveness of compliance monitoring of programs established by this subchapter or by amendments made by this subchapter and any evidence as to the occurrence of fraud with respect to such programs; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idabfb1bf7-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s6892/b/5"><num value="5">(5)</num><content> the recommendations of the Comptroller General with respect to (A) improvements in the administration of programs authorized by this subchapter or by amendments made by this subchapter, and (B) additional legislation, if any, which is needed to achieve the purposes of this subchapter.</content>
