The duties and responsibilities (other than duties and responsibilities relating to research and development) of the Administrator under this chapter (as modified by applicable reorganization plans) shall be carried out through the Office.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id8e3c2467-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6911/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Interagency Coordinating Committee</heading><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id8e3c2468-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6911/b/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> There is hereby established an Interagency Coordinating Committee on Federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Activities which shall have the responsibility for coordinating all activities dealing with resource conservation and recovery from solid waste carried out by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Energy, the Department of Commerce, and all other Federal agencies which conduct such activities pursuant to this chapter or any other Act. For purposes of this subsection, the term “resource conservation and recovery activities” shall include, but not be limited to, all research, development and demonstration projects on resource conservation or energy, or material, recovery from solid waste, and all technical or financial assistance for State or local planning for, or implementation of, projects related to resource conservation or energy or material, recovery from solid waste. The Committee shall be chaired by the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency or such person as the Administrator may designate. Members of the Committee shall include representatives of the Department of Energy, the Department of Commerce, the Department of the Treasury, and each other Federal agency which the Administrator determines to have programs or responsibilities affecting resource conservation or recovery.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id8e3c2469-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6911/b/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><chapeau> The Interagency Coordinating Committee shall include oversight of the implementation of</chapeau><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id8e3c246a-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6911/b/2/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> the May 1979 Memorandum of Understanding on Energy Recovery from Municipal Solid Waste between the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy;</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id8e3c246b-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6911/b/2/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> the <date date=\"1978-05-30\">May 30, 1978</date>, Interagency Agreement between the Department of Commerce and the Environmental Protection Agency on the Implementation of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act [<ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s6901\">42 U.S.C. 6901</ref> et seq.]; and</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id8e3c246c-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s6911/b/2/C\"><num value=\"C\">(C)</num><content> any subsequent agreements between these agencies or other Federal agencies which address Federal resource recovery or conservation activities.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id8e3c4b7d-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/89/272/tII/s2001\">Pub.
