Probably should refer to part D of subchapter I.</note> the Administrator may credit a State with the emission reductions for purposes of part D <ref class=\"footnoteRef\" idref=\"fn003623\">1</ref> attributable to such actions.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idac5ee77d-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s7590/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> No production mandate</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">The Administrator shall have no authority under this part to mandate the production of clean-fuel vehicles except as provided in the California pilot test program or to specify as applicable the models, lines, or types of, or marketing or price practices, policies, or strategies for, vehicles subject to this part. Nothing in this part shall be construed to give the Administrator authority to mandate marketing or pricing practices, policies, or strategies for fuels.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idac5ee77e-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s7590/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Tank and fuel system safety</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">The Secretary of Transportation shall, in accordance with chapter 301 of title 49, promulgate applicable regulations regarding the safety and use of fuel storage cylinders and fuel systems, including appropriate testing and retesting, in conversions of motor vehicles.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idac5ee77f-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s7590/d\"><num value=\"d\" class=\"bold\">(d)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Consultation with Department of Energy and Department of Transportation</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">The Administrator shall coordinate with the Secretaries of the Department of Energy and the Department of Transportation in carrying out the Administrator’s duties under this part.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"idac5ee780-09a0-11eb-a85b-f5cef3d06f4d\">(<ref href=\"/us/act/1955-07-14/ch360\">July 14, 1955, ch. 360</ref>, title II, § 250, as added <ref href=\"/us/pl/101/549/tII/s229/a\">Pub.
