<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id8ec5033e-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s8255"><num value="8255">§ 8255.</num><heading> Budget treatment for energy conservation measures</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The President shall transmit to the Congress, along with each budget that is submitted to the Congress under <ref href="/us/usc/t31/s1105">section 1105 of title 31</ref>, a statement of the amount of appropriations requested in such budget, if any, on an individual agency basis, for—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id8ec5033f-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s8255/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> electric and other energy costs to be incurred in operating and maintaining agency facilities; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id8ec50340-86fb-11e9-b915-8b3e54686b9f" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s8255/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> compliance with the provisions of this part, the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s6201">42 U.S.C. 6201</ref> et seq.), and all applicable Executive orders, including Executive Order 12003 (<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s6201">42 U.S.C. 6201</ref> note) and Executive Order 12759 (56 Fed. Reg. 16257).</content>
