<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id35cd5cf3-ec39-11e5-b01e-e2270cb35279" identifier="/us/usc/t49/s80306"><num value="80306">§ 80306.</num><heading> Relationship to other laws</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id35cd5cf4-ec39-11e5-b01e-e2270cb35279" identifier="/us/usc/t49/s80306/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Chapter as Additional Law</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>This chapter is in addition to another law—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id35cd5cf5-ec39-11e5-b01e-e2270cb35279" identifier="/us/usc/t49/s80306/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> imposing, or authorizing the compromise of, fines, penalties, or forfeitures; or</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id35cd5cf6-ec39-11e5-b01e-e2270cb35279" identifier="/us/usc/t49/s80306/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> providing for seizure, condemnation, or disposition of forfeited property, or the proceeds from the property.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id35cd5cf7-ec39-11e5-b01e-e2270cb35279" identifier="/us/usc/t49/s80306/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Laws Applicable to Seizures and Forfeitures</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>To the extent applicable and consistent with this chapter, the following apply to a seizure or forfeiture under this chapter:</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id35cd5cf8-ec39-11e5-b01e-e2270cb35279" identifier="/us/usc/t49/s80306/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> provisions of law related to the seizure, forfeiture, and condemnation of vehicles and vessels violating the customs laws.</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id35cd5cf9-ec39-11e5-b01e-e2270cb35279" identifier="/us/usc/t49/s80306/b/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> provisions of law related to the disposition of those vehicles or vessels or the proceeds from the sale of those vehicles or vessels.</content>
