<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="idcc943fc7-d384-11e6-93c2-c1d63c8ae820" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s3701"><num value="3701">§ 3701.</num><heading> Definitions</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">For purposes of this chapter—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idcc943fc8-d384-11e6-93c2-c1d63c8ae820" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s3701/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> the term “agency” means an Executive agency, but does not include the Government Accountability Office; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idcc943fc9-d384-11e6-93c2-c1d63c8ae820" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s3701/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><chapeau> the term “detail” means—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idcc943fca-d384-11e6-93c2-c1d63c8ae820" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s3701/2/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> the assignment or loan of an employee of an agency to a private sector organization without a change of position from the agency that employs the individual, or</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idcc943fcb-d384-11e6-93c2-c1d63c8ae820" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s3701/2/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> the assignment or loan of an employee of a private sector organization to an agency without a change of position from the private sector organization that employs the individual,</content>

<continuation style="-uslm-lc:I17" class="indent1 firstIndent0">whichever is appropriate in the context in which such term is used.</continuation>
