<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id11fc6414-81bc-11eb-8b8f-cf900944cd12" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s6325"><num value="6325">§ 6325.</num><heading> Absence resulting from hostile action abroad</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Leave may not be charged to the account of an employee for absence, not to exceed one year, due to an injury—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id11fc6415-81bc-11eb-8b8f-cf900944cd12" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s6325/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> incurred while serving abroad and resulting from war, insurgency, mob violence, or similar hostile action; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id11fc6416-81bc-11eb-8b8f-cf900944cd12" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s6325/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> not due to vicious habits, intemperance, or willful misconduct on the part of the employee.</content>

<continuation style="-uslm-lc:I10" class="indent0 firstIndent0">The preceding provisions of this section shall apply in the case of an alien employee referred to in <ref href="/us/usc/t5/s6301/2/viii">section 6301(2)(viii) of this title</ref> with respect to any leave granted to such alien employee under <ref href="/us/usc/t5/s6310">section 6310 of this title</ref> or section 408 of the Foreign Service Act of 1980.</continuation>
