<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id50a3aeec-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s7313"><num value="7313">§ 7313.</num><heading> Riots and civil disorders</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id50a3aeed-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s7313/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><chapeau> An individual convicted by any Federal, State, or local court of competent jurisdiction of—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id50a3aeee-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s7313/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> inciting a riot or civil disorder;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id50a3aeef-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s7313/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> organizing, promoting, encouraging, or participating in a riot or civil disorder;</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id50a3aef0-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s7313/a/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> aiding or abetting any person in committing any offense specified in clause (1) or (2); or</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id50a3aef1-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s7313/a/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> any offense determined by the head of the employing agency to have been committed in furtherance of, or while participating in, a riot or civil disorder;</content>

<continuation style="-uslm-lc:I10" class="indent0 firstIndent0">shall, if the offense for which he is convicted is a felony, be ineligible to accept or hold any position in the Government of the United States or in the government of the District of Columbia for the five years immediately following the date upon which his conviction becomes final. Any such individual holding a position in the Government of the United States or the government of the District of Columbia on the date his conviction becomes final shall be removed from such position.</continuation>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id50a3aef2-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s7313/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><content> For the purposes of this section, “felony” means any offense for which imprisonment is authorized for a term exceeding one year.</content>
