<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id50af964f-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s8105"><num value="8105">§ 8105.</num><heading> Total disability</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id50af9650-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s8105/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><content> If the disability is total, the United States shall pay the employee during the disability monthly monetary compensation equal to 66⅔ percent of his monthly pay, which is known as his basic compensation for total disability.</content>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id50af9651-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s8105/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><content> The loss of use of both hands, both arms, both feet, or both legs, or the loss of sight of both eyes, is prima facie permanent total disability.</content>
