<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id50b450f4-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s8138"><num value="8138">§ 8138.</num><heading> Minimum limit modification for noncitizens and aliens</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id50b450f5-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s8138/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><content> Except as provided by subsection (b) of this section, the minimum limit on monthly compensation for disability under <ref href="/us/usc/t5/s8112">section 8112 of this title</ref> and the minimum limit on monthly pay on which death compensation is computed under <ref href="/us/usc/t5/s8133">section 8133 of this title</ref> do not apply in the case of a noncitizen employee, or a class or classes of noncitizen employees, who sustain injury outside the continental United States. The Secretary of Labor may establish a minimum monthly pay on which death compensation is computed in the case of a class or classes of such noncitizen employees.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id50b450f6-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s8138/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><content> The President may remove or modify the minimum limit on monthly compensation for disability under <ref href="/us/usc/t5/s8112">section 8112 of this title</ref> and the minimum limit on monthly pay on which death compensation is computed under <ref href="/us/usc/t5/s8133">section 8133 of this title</ref> in the case of an alien employee, or a class or classes of alien employees, of the Canal Zone Government or the Panama Canal Company.</content>
