In administering this subchapter for an enrollee covered by this subsection—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id50b4513c-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t5/s8143/a/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> the monthly pay of an enrollee is deemed that received at the minimum rate for GS–2;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id50b4513d-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t5/s8143/a/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> <ref href=\"/us/usc/t5/s8113/a\">section 8113(a) of this title</ref> applies to an enrollee; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id50b4513e-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t5/s8143/a/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> “performance of duty” does not include an act of an enrollee while absent from his assigned post of duty, except while participating in an activity (including an activity while on pass or during travel to or from the post of duty) authorized by or under the direction and supervision of the Job Corps.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id50b4513f-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t5/s8143/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><content> This subchapter applies to a volunteer in service to America who receives either a living allowance or a stipend under part A of subchapter VIII of chapter 34 of title 42, with respect to that service and training, to the same extent as enrollees of the Job Corps under subsection (a) of this section.
