<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">For purposes of this chapter—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id5118436b-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s9901/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> the term “Director” means the Director of the Office of Personnel Management; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id5118436c-f67c-11e5-87ee-a95dc0577289" identifier="/us/usc/t5/s9901/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> the term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Defense.</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I21" class="indent0"><num value="2">“(2)</num><content> No other provision of this Act [see Tables for classification] or of any amendment made by this Act may be construed or applied in a manner so as to limit, supersede, or otherwise affect the provisions of this section [enacting this chapter], except to the extent that it does so by specific reference to this section.”</content>
