<ref href=\"/us/stat/111/1597\">111 Stat. 1597</ref>), and Native villages (as defined in <ref href=\"/us/usc/t43/s1602\">section 1602 of title 43</ref>) for the benefit of rural or Native villages in Alaska to provide for the development and construction of water and wastewater systems to improve the health and sanitation conditions in those villages.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id07cd32e8-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s1926d/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Matching funds</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">To be eligible to receive a grant under subsection (a), the State of Alaska shall provide 25 percent in matching funds from non-Federal sources for any grant awarded under subsection (a).</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id07cd32e9-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s1926d/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Consultation with State of Alaska</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">The Secretary shall consult with the State of Alaska on a method of prioritizing the allocation of grants under subsection (a) according to the needs of, and relative health and sanitation conditions in, each village.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id07cd32ea-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s1926d/d\"><num value=\"d\" class=\"bold\">(d)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Authorization of appropriations</heading><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id07cd32eb-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s1926d/d/1\"><num value=\"1\" class=\"bold\">(1)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> In general</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $30,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2008 through 2023.</p>\n</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id07cd59fc-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s1926d/d/2\"><num value=\"2\" class=\"bold\">(2)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Training and technical assistance</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">Not more than 2 percent of the amount made available under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year may be used by the State of Alaska, and not more than 2 percent of the amount made available under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year may be used by a consortium formed pursuant to section 325 of the Department of the Interior and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 1998 (<ref href=\"/us/pl/105/83\">Public Law 105–83</ref>;
