<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id6ad84486-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2109"><num value="2109">§ 2109.</num><heading> Provisions applicable to amendments</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id6ad84487-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2109/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Provisions applicable to amendments to orders</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Except as provided in subsection (b), the provisions of this chapter applicable to orders shall be applicable to amendments to orders.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id6ad84488-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2109/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Approval of amendments by cotton producers and importers</heading><chapeau>No amendment to an order issued under this chapter shall be effective unless the Secretary determines that—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6ad84489-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2109/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> with respect to an amendment referred to in subsection (b) or (c) of <ref href="/us/usc/t7/s2107">section 2107 of this title</ref>, the amendment is approved by producers and importers of cotton as provided in such section; or</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6ad8448a-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2109/b/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> with respect to any other amendment, that the amendment is approved by a majority of cotton producers and importers subject to the order voting in the referendum.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id6ad8448b-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2109/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> Disapproval of any amendment to order not deemed to invalidate such order</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The disapproval of any amendment to an order issued under this chapter shall not be deemed to invalidate such order.</p>
