<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id6af283e8-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2908"><num value="2908">§ 2908.</num><heading> Enforcement</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id6af283e9-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2908/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Restraining order; civil penalty</heading><chapeau>If the Secretary believes that the administration and enforcement of this chapter or an order would be adequately served by such procedure, following an opportunity for an administrative hearing on the record, the Secretary may—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6af283ea-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2908/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> issue an order to restrain or prevent a person from violating an order; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6af283eb-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2908/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> assess a civil penalty of not more than $5,000 for violation of such order.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id6af283ec-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2908/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Jurisdiction of district court</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The district courts of the United States are vested with jurisdiction specifically to enforce, and to prevent and restrain a person from violating, an order or regulation made or issued under this chapter.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id6af283ed-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s2908/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> Civil action to be referred to Attorney General</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">A civil action authorized to be brought under this section shall be referred to the Attorney General for appropriate action.</p>
