<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id084aa072-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s3333"><num value="3333">§ 3333.</num><heading> Rangeland research grants</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id084aa073-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s3333/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><chapeau>The Secretary may make grants to—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id084aa074-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s3333/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> land-grant colleges and universities, State agricultural experiment stations, and colleges, universities, and Federal laboratories having a demonstrable capacity in rangeland research, as determined by the Secretary, to carry out rangeland research; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id084aa075-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s3333/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> the Joe Skeen Institute for Rangeland Restoration for the purposes of facilitating and expanding ongoing State-Federal range management, animal husbandry, and agricultural research, education, and extension programs to meet the targeted, emerging, and future needs of western United States rangelands and associated natural resources.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id084aa076-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s3333/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Matching requirements</heading><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id084aa077-8c63-11e9-b85c-f2648b4e4a41" identifier="/us/usc/t7/s3333/b/1"><num value="1" class="bold">(1)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">Except as provided in paragraph (2), this grant program shall be based on a matching formula of 50 percent Federal and 50 percent non-Federal funding (including funding from an agricultural commodity promotion, research, and information program).</p>
