{"identifier":"/us/usc/t7/s92","title_num":"7","num":"§ 92.","heading":"Definitions","status":null,"guid":"id487443b6-22ee-11e8-bdf4-b68a334b17a8","source_credit":"(Mar. 3, 1923, ch. 217, § 2, 42 Stat. 1435.)","seq_in_title":140,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t7/ch4","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t7","level":"title","num":"Title 7—","heading":"AGRICULTURE","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t7/ch4","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 4—","heading":"NAVAL STORES","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id6996eb2c-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92\"><num value=\"92\">§ 92.</num><heading> Definitions</heading>\n<chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">When used in this chapter—</chapeau><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb2d-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/a\"><num value=\"a\">(a)</num><content> “Naval stores” means spirits of turpentine and rosin.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb2e-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><content> “Spirits of turpentine” includes gum spirits of turpentine and wood turpentine.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb2f-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/c\"><num value=\"c\">(c)</num><content> “Gum spirits of turpentine” means spirits of turpentine made from gum (oleoresin) from a living tree.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb30-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/d\"><num value=\"d\">(d)</num><content> “Wood turpentine” includes steam distilled wood turpentine and destructively distilled wood turpentine.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb31-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/e\"><num value=\"e\">(e)</num><content> “Steam distilled wood turpentine” means wood turpentine distilled with steam from the oleoresin within or extracted from the wood.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb32-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/f\"><num value=\"f\">(f)</num><content> “Destructively distilled wood turpentine” means wood turpentine obtained in the destructive distillation of the wood.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb33-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/g\"><num value=\"g\">(g)</num><content> “Rosin” includes gum rosin and wood rosin.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb34-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/h\"><num value=\"h\">(h)</num><content> “Gum rosin” means rosin remaining after the distillation of gum spirits of turpentine.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb35-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/i\"><num value=\"i\">(i)</num><content> “Wood rosin” means rosin remaining after the distillation of steam distilled wood turpentine.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb36-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/j\"><num value=\"j\">(j)</num><content> “Package” means any container of naval stores, and includes barrel, tank, tank car, or other receptacle.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb37-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/k\"><num value=\"k\">(k)</num><content> “Person” includes partnerships, associations, and corporations, as well as individuals.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6996eb38-ec38-11e5-ab42-dae4a1e80e35\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t7/s92/l\"><num value=\"l\">(l)</num><content> The term “commerce” means commerce between any State, Territory, or possession, or the District of Columbia, and any place outside thereof;
