Indemnification for Beekeepers
The Secretary of Agriculture is authorized to make indemnity payments to beekeepers who through no fault of their own have suffered losses of honey bees after
The amount of the indemnity payment in the case of any beekeeper shall be determined on the basis of the net loss sustained by such beekeeper as a result of the loss of his honey bees.
Indemnity payments shall be made only in cases in which the loss occurred as a result of the use of economic poisons which had been registered and approved for use by the Federal Government.
There are hereby authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.
The Secretary is authorized to issue such regulations as he deems necessary to carry out the purposes of this section.
